Social Security System (SSS) officials served ‘show cause orders’ to some commercial establishments in Greenhills, San Juan that are not remitting the contributions of their employees.
SSS Chairman Amado Valdez went around some stores on Thursday morning and asked owners why charges should not be filed against them, following the complaints his office previously received.
Valdez is on a campaign called ‘Run After Contribution Evaders’ or RACE wherein reports from employees are heard.
He likens the program to 'Oplan Tokhang' or the PNP’s drive against illegal drugs wherein authorities inspect crime-prone areas.
“Yung matatakot dito ay yung mga hindi nagko-comply (those who will be afraid are the ones who do not comply),” he said.
Valdez adds, RACE will also be implemented in the provinces.
