10,000 jobs up in DoLE portal

MORE than 10,000 job vacancies are up for grabs, with employment opportunities in the business process outsourcing industry leading the top spot, according to PhilJobNet, the Department of Labor and Employment’s internet-based job and applicant matching portal.

The Bureau of Local Employment, which maintains the centralized database of PhilJobNet, the vacancies are for the positions of call center agent with 2,086; customer service assistant with 776; service crew with 74; staff nurse with 674 vacancies; production machine operator with 602, promo salesperson 595; real estate salesman at 570; manufacturing laborer with 515; sales clerk with 513, and sales associate professional with 505 vacancies.

Other job vacancies are non-formal education teacher with 449, cashier with 379, technical support staff at 377; door-to-door salesperson with 375; janitor 310; telecommunication specialist, 297; beauty consultant, 260; salesman, 247; sugar production machine operator, 240; and mason (general), with 240 vacancies.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III encouraged the public to make full use of the PhilJobNet’s enhanced services as it hastens the jobseekers’ search for jobs and the employer’s search for workforce.

An individual looking for a job and at least 15 years old may register at PhilJobNet, while any establishment or employer duly recognized by Philippine business authorizing agencies and with existing Tax Identification Number may register as employer.

Employers may invite registered job applicants for job interview on a desired date and may print an applicant’s profile.

Jobseekers, on the other hand, are provided an option to apply online and to view top hiring companies. PhilJobNet has also made job matching more flexible by allowing users to modify filters, such as specific job requirements and applicant qualifications.

PhilJobNet service is free of charge for both job applicants and establishments.
