Senate is set to investigate the frequent low power supply in Luzon.

Senate Minority Leader Ralph Recto says, from June 25 to 31, 2016 alone, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced red alerts twice.

The NGCP also declared yellow alerts on the supply of electricity two times during the same period.

Recto wants to find out why the operations of 6 power plants bogged down last June.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian backs Recto’s resolution seeking an investigation into the problem.
