Dela Rosa meets militant groups at Batasan gate

PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa inspected the security situation at the main gate of Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.

He told the anti-riot police to bring down their shields and truncheons to show ease in handling militant groups assembled in front of the House of Representatives.

Dela Rosa also went on stage where demonstrators were holding a program.

Militant groups are not holding protests today as President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his first State of the Nation Address (SONA).

They say they will just present cultural numbers.

The PNP allowed militant groups to set up stage near Batasan Complex.

The demonstrators used to be barred from the area and they could only hold protests up to the Sandiganbayan.
