Senator Grace Poe on Sunday led the presentation of senatorial bets during the kick-off rally of FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
Joining Poe at the event were re-electionist senators Pia Cayetano, Bong’ Revilla. Returning candidates Tito Sotto and Bam Aquino joined the launch while Sen. Bong Go, also seeking re-election, delivered a video message of support.
Speaking before a jam-packed crowd, Poe praised the government experiences and achievements of the candidates.
“I won’t recommend (them) if I don’t believe (they) can’t help. We need hard workers in the Senate. We need (those) who will really work,” Poe said in Tagalog.
The senator likewise thanked local officials, supporters and volunteers who continue to support her family. Poe’s father, the late movie icon Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), hails from San Carlos City.
Poe also threw her support behind FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list led by her son Brian Poe. Alongside Brian, the party-list’s leadership team includes second nominee Mark Patron and third nominee Hiyas Dolor.
Their collective expertise and commitment, along with their youthful creativity and innovation as a young breed of servant leaders.
“I ask that what I fought for in memory of FPJ—for honest and proper service—be upheld. I urge you to make the FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist number one here in Pangasinan,” said Poe.
“If you are going to serve, you must be capable, hardworking, and prioritize the needs of our people. I am proud to endorse and introduce to you my son, Brian Poe, the first nominee of FPJ Panday Bayanihan,” she added.
Cayetano also echoed Poe’s sentiment expressing her gratitude for the trust and support. Sotto also expressed his support to the party-list.
FPJ Panday Bayanihan was inspired by Da King’s unwavering commitment to public service. By seeking broader legislative support, the group hopes to expand its reach and influence, embodying the values championed by its namesake.
