THE National Police Commission (Napolcom) on Wednesday welcomed the designation of Col. Marlon Santos as acting spokesman of the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., concurrent ex-office commissioner of the Napolcom.
Santos will be working closely with the Napolcom in pushing reforms on accountability, discipline, strategic communication, and stronger coordination between the commission and the PNP.
Santos also previously served as Cavite provincial director and CIDG director for Region 4A (Calabarzon) and Region 7.
In his current functions, Santos also conveys the directives, policies, and official positions of the PNP chief to the public and the media, while helping communicate key programs, operational developments, and reform initiatives of the police force.
