“May this Holy Week strengthen our resolve to become a nation guided by faith, united in purpose, and inspired by selfless service,” he said.

President Marcos highlighted the Passion of Christ, emphasizing that true greatness “lies not in power or privilege, but in sacrifice, service, and the courage to carry the burdens of others.”

“May Jesus Christ’s example inspire us to face our own challenges with humility, perseverance, and hope. For in every act of compassion, every hand extended to those in need, and every sacrifice made for the good of others, we keep alive the spirit of His message,” he added.

President Marcos also called for Filipinos to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, advocating for a renewed commitment to deeper love, faithful service, and steadfast faith despite life’s hardships.

Additionally, the president encouraged Filipinos to unite in advancing family welfare, strengthening communities, and building a better nation, emphasizing that Christ’s example should motivate everyone to face challenges “with humility, perseverance, and hope.”

Filipinos are observing the annual Holy Week beginning with Palm Sunday on March 29 and culminating on Easter Sunday on April 5.
