The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Tuesday addressed allegations aired during a recent press conference involving individuals described as former members of the Philippine Marine Corps.
In a statement, the AFP said the claims were raised by a private lawyer in a public forum and, at present, remain allegations that must undergo proper legal and investigative processes before competent authorities.

“We caution against grandstanding and the manipulative use of legitimate media to spread unverified claims that may contribute to disinformation,” the AFP said.
It added that the public deserves accurate and verified information, urging all parties to allow due process to take its course.
