The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the promotions of 35 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to higher ranks, boosting the military organization.
The AFP welcomed this development, saying it “underscores sustained confidence” in the senior leadership and “supports the continuity of command essential to operational effectiveness.”
“These officers are expected to play a critical role in advancing joint operations, professional military development, and the AFP’s mandate to safeguard national security,” the organization added.
The confirmation followed the recommendation of the CA Committee on National Defense, which approved the following officers’ ad interim appointments in their respective service branches:
