The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) reported Tuesday that 2,018 New People’s Army members and supporters were neutralized from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said 1,798 surrendered, 93 were arrested, and 127 were killed in operations nationwide.
She added that 1,134 firearms and 531 anti-personnel mines were seized or surrendered, while 149 NPA encampments were captured during the period.
National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict officials earlier said only about 780 NPA members remain nationwide, down from an estimated 25,000 in the 1980s.
NTF-ELCAC said it will not allow the Abra de Ilog clash in Occidental Mindoro to be used for propaganda amid allegations of rights violations.
