DND honors World War II veteran Cesar Pobre

The Department of National Defense (DND) on Tuesday expressed its condolences to the family and colleagues of retired Colonel Cesar Pobre, a World War II veteran and advocate of veterans’ welfare.

In a statement, the DND honored Pobre for serving the nation with honor, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.

Pobre, a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1952, devoted his life to service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines until his retirement.

He later remained active in veterans’ affairs as chairperson of the Interim Supreme Council of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines.

The DND said Pobre leaves behind a lasting legacy of service and patriotism that will continue to inspire future generations.
