The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday (December 18, 2025) served the warrants of arrest to controversial contractor Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and malversation of public funds or property.
Discaya underwent the standard booking and documentation.
Later today (December 19, 2025), she is expected to be escorted to Cebu to be presented before the Lapu-Lapu City Regional Trial Court Branch 27, the court that issued the warrant.
On December 10, Discaya surrendered to the NBI in anticipation of the issuance of a warrant for her arrest as announced by President Marcos.
Earlier, the Office of the Ombudsman filed malversation through falsification and graft charges against Discaya and other individuals linked to the P96.5-million ghost flood control project in Davao Occidental.
