Vice President Sara Duterte on Saturday called on Filipinos to reflect on faith, unity, and love for the country as the Philippines observes All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, collectively known as Undas.
In her message, the Vice President encouraged Filipinos to take the occasion as a time to embrace the true spirit of faith and to remember with gratitude the lives of their departed loved ones.
“We continue to pray for the peace and quiet of their souls… May their memory be an inspiration in every step we take in life,” Duterte said.
She expressed hopes that the solemn holiday would strengthen Filipino families and communities through shared remembrance and prayer.
The Vice President also urged everyone to face each day with faith, hope, and love, adding that unity and hope should prevail in every Filipino family.
She concluded her message with a reminder to cherish the nation and uphold its values, saying Filipinos must love the Philippines, for God, for the nation, and for every Filipino family.
