Quezon City has again solidified its status as a model for good governance and ease of doing business after being named a Hall of Fame Awardee in the 2025 Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mayor Joy Belmonte and Business Permits and Licensing Department Head Margie Mejia received the award during the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo at SMX Manila. Belmonte said the recognition shows that “good governance and innovation can go hand in hand.”
The award marks the city’s third consecutive victory, recognizing its consistent excellence in supporting business growth through transparent and technology-driven processes.
Belmonte noted that Quezon City first achieved Hall of Fame status under former Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr., and the current honor reaffirms the city’s leadership in economic governance and digital transformation.
Since 2019, Quezon City has implemented end-to-end online business systems, including e-receipts, making it the first LGU to do so and strengthening investor confidence in its business-friendly environment.
