Ejercito hopes for positive development in Marcos-Duterte rift

Senator Joseph Victor ‘JV’ Ejercito on Tuesday expressed hope that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s willingness to reconcile with Vice President Sara Duterte and her family could pave the way for national unity.

“Based on recent statements and news reports, the conflict appears to be deep. But even if it seems unlikely and difficult at the moment, we are still hoping and praying that there will be a positive development,” Ejercito said.

The senator noted that early political bickering has long hampered the country’s growth and progress and warned that while internal divisions persist, neighboring countries continue to move ahead.

“We have so many pressing problems that need us to work together and stay focused,” Ejercito said.

The senator urged political leaders to shift their focus to the nation’s most urgent problems.

“I hope we can just prioritize the country’s current challenges. If we join forces, we can help our people and our country move forward,” Ejercito added.
