PNP opens media center for 2025 elections info monitoring

In line with its commitment to uphold transparency and accurate information dissemination during the 2025 National and Local Elections, the Philippine National Police (PNP) formally activated the Media Action Center (MAC) at the PNP Media Center in Camp Crame on Wednesday, May 7.

This initiative, which runs until May 18, is in response to the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process, reinforcing the critical partnership between the police force and media stakeholders.

The MAC will serve as the central hub for coordinating information between the National Election Monitoring Action Center (NEMAC), the PNP, and national and local media.

It is designed to provide timely, accurate, and newsworthy updates through official press releases, statements, and briefings with the Chief PNP, the PNP Spokesperson, and other senior officers.

Press conferences will also be conducted to address election-related developments before, during, and after the elections.

All Regional Public Information Offices (PIOs) have been directed to activate their respective MACs and ensure real-time coordination with the central MAC at Camp Crame.

This includes readiness of personnel, communication systems, and monitoring operations within their Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

Regional PIOs are also instructed to report significant incidents involving media personalities to the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS), and submit daily updates to the National MAC.
