To boost data protection awareness, the Land Transportation Office–National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) partnered with the National Privacy Commission for a three-part seminar titled “Overview Seminar on Republic Act 10173: Data Privacy Act of 2012.”
LTO-NCR Director Roque Verzosa III said the sessions aimed to guide employees on data privacy, stressing that public servants must safeguard citizens’ personal information in today’s digital landscape.
The seminars were held at the Bulwagang Edu, LTO central office in Quezon City, on April 14, 21, and 28. Participants included office chiefs and case resolvers—staff in charge of social media and official communications.
The initiative reflects LTO-NCR’s commitment to responsible digital communication, transparency, and accountability in handling public data.
Future capacity-building activities are planned to further equip LTO-NCR personnel in managing sensitive information professionally and in line with national standards.
