The Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported the arrest of a Japanese woman suspected of being a member of the infamous “Luffy” gang, linked to theft and fraud in Japan.
In a press release on Saturday, Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU) arrested 33-year-old Natsuki Kimura along Ayala Avenue in Makati City on Friday, under a deportation order issued in March 2023.
She is among several “Luffy” gang members arrested by the bureau since their presence here was reported by the Japanese government.

“She will be deported, blacklisted, and banned from re-entering the Philippines,” Viado said.
BI-FSU chief Rendel Ryan Sy said Kimura is wanted in Japan for theft, accused of posing as a police officer to steal ATM cards.
She allegedly worked as a telephone operator for the syndicate’s international scams.
Kimura remains detained at the BI warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, awaiting deportation.
