A 41-year-old man accused of murdering his own father in brutal fashion had no traces of drugs in his system, according to authorities in Tagum City.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday and subjected to an immediate drug test to determine if he was under the influence of drugs when he committed the crime. The results came out negative.
The man identified as ‘Balono’ will soon undergo a psychiatric test to evaluate his mental health, according to Tagum City Police chief Wildemar Tiu.
Initial investigations disclosed that the suspect was mentally unsound. He is facing parricide charges for allegedly killing his own father, who was found beheaded and disemboweled.
The crime was reported Sunday morning, January 19, following a commotion at a residence in Madaum village, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
