A new survey said 40% of Filipino employees are willing to dedicate time to learning new skills weekly.
The JobStreet by SEEK’s Decoding Global Talent Report: GenAI Edition report also highlighted a vibrant learning culture employers can leverage by offering personalized upskilling opportunities tailored to employees’ needs.
According to the report, Filipino professionals are particularly interested in developing skills in analytical thinking, job-specific expertise, creativity, and project management. By addressing these priorities, companies can not only enhance workforce capabilities but also foster loyalty and long-term commitment, the report said.
Preferred training methods among Filipino employees include videos, online tutorials, workshops, and networking. Employers that align their reskilling initiatives with these preferences create a motivated, future-ready workforce equipped to navigate an evolving professional landscape.
Additionally, Filipino employees prioritize stability and flexibility. The report indicates that 67 percent value stable jobs with good work-life balance, while flexible arrangements, such as hybrid or remote setups, significantly enhance retention.
