DHSUD starts delivery of units under Pambansang Pabahay

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said it has already started delivery of the first units under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program (4PH) with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ceremonially awarding units to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the awarding was among the highlights of the Pamaskong Handog para sa OFWs, a collaboration among DHSUD, the Department of Migrant Workers, the Presidential Communications Office, and other national government agencies.

“The turnover and delivery of the 4PH units will continue. We have started building projects under the program,” he said.  “In the coming months, there will be more 4PH units to be awarded.”

To date, 56 4PH projects are simultaneously being developed and constructed in different parts of the country, of which some of them have condominium buildings already completed and are now ready for take out–two years.

The 4PH was launched in September 2022, shifting the national government’s housing program to vertical or multi-story buildings to maximize land use.

The housing czar hit the ground running by conceptualizing 4PH Program, along with key officials of the DHSUD that led to the declaration by the President as a flagship program through Executive Order 34.

“The ongoing 4PH projects are solid proofs of our concept that we can tap private funds in government housing,” he said.

“4PH was the formula created to solve the housing backlog. We only need to look for other ways to expedite the process and maximize government resources,” he maintained.
