Lawmakers from the Senate and the House of Representatives, convening under the Bicameral Conference Committee, approved on Wednesday the P6.352-trillion national budget for 2025.
Senate President Francis Escudero and House Speaker Martin Romualdez led their respective chambers in adopting the Bicameral Conference Committee report after a meeting held at the Manila Hotel.
“On the part of the Senate, the bicameral conference committee report is hereby approved and adopted,” said Senator Grace Poe, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance.
House Committee on Appropriations chairperson Elizaldy Co also delivered the same statement.
“On the part of the House and after conferring with the members of the House panel, we are now ready for the approval and adoption of the bicameral conference committee report on the disagreeing votes on the House Bill No. 10800,” he said.
