AirAsia Philippines has flown over seven million guests this year, surpassing the previous record of 6.6 million set in 2023, showcasing the airline’s steady recovery and growth.

Key factors driving this success include a 77% increase in fleet size compared to 2023, featuring 16 serviceable aircraft. The airline also introduced 11 promotional offers along with its popular P1SO deals.

This increase in capacity has allowed AirAsia to strengthen its presence in key leisure destinations such as Caticlan (Boracay), Cebu, and Tagbilaran (Panglao), as well as international locations like Narita, Osaka, Incheon, and Bangkok.

“At AirAsia, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests. We continue to redefine what it means to be a low-cost carrier, as being low-cost does not equate to low service,” said AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla.

The airline will soon introduce new offline AirAsia Travel and Service Centers, increasing the total from 29 last year to 34 in 2024.

Additionally, AirAsia MOVE has reported strong growth, providing seamless access for guests booking flights, hotels, and activities, with a total of 19.3 million online visits.

Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A, expressed optimism about the airline’s future, emphasizing its role in supporting Philippine tourism.

“Our goal is to bring more tourists to the Philippines in 2025 and continue strengthening our domestic operations. We plan to add more aircraft, launch new routes, and possibly surprise destinations in the coming year,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Nadia Omer, CEO of AirAsia MOVE, highlighted the importance of enhancing the traveler experience.

“We are excited for 2025, as it will be a defining year for AirAsia MOVE. Our focus is on delivering seamless travel experiences and connecting travelers across the globe while offering a diverse range of options to suit their needs,” she added.
