BI deports Japanese wanted in Japan

THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported a Japanese fugitive, while a Chinese woman working illegally as a cashier was arrested in Paranaque City.

The fugitive, identified as Sasaki Yohei, was arrested in Bahay Toro, Quezon City, was sent home  aboard a Japan Airlines flight bound for Tokyo.

Citing Japanese authorities, the BI said Yohei has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the Omiya summary court in Saitama, Japan where he was charged for defrauding an elderly victim in a nursing home where he worked as a staff member.

Yohei is  an alleged member of a Cambodia-based telecom fraud syndicate engaged in kidnapping, illegal detention, extortion, and fraud.

Meanwhile, the Chinese woman, identified only as ‘Chen’  was arrested while illegally working  in a Chinese grocery store along Quirino Ave. in Brgy. Tambo, Parañaque City.

BI records reveal that Chen possessed a valid working visa issued to the BI upon request by a different company.
