The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) showcased its commitment to maintaining peace and order in Metro Manila through impactful operations conducted over a 24-hour period, from 6:00 AM on December 3 to 5:59 AM on Wednesday, December 4.
The campaign against illegal drugs yielded notable results, with the seizure of 3,047.63 grams of shabu and 1.1 grams of marijuana, valued at PHP 20,724,016.00.
These operations led to the arrest of 71 individuals, highlighting NCRPO’s firm resolve to eradicate illegal drugs and protect communities from their harmful effects.
Meanwhile, efforts against illegal gambling proved equally successful. A total of 49 operations resulted in the arrest of 133 individuals and the filing of 18 cases.
The confiscated bets amounted to PHP 33,765.00, reflecting NCRPO’s continuous efforts to curb illicit gambling activities in the region.
In its campaign against loose firearms, the NCRPO conducted 16 operations that resulted in the surrender or seizure of 17 firearms.
Seventeen individuals were arrested, with seven cases filed. This initiative aims to reduce firearm-related violence and ensure public safety.
The NCRPO also achieved significant results in apprehending wanted persons. Seventy-nine individuals were arrested, including 16 from the Top 10 Most Wanted list and 23 categorized as Most Wanted.
NCRPO Acting Regional Director Police Brigadier General Anthony Aberin expressed gratitude to all operatives for their diligence, dedication, and efforts.
He reiterated the importance of their guiding principles as Able, Active, and Allied (AAA) police officers: being equipped and prepared, proactive in addressing criminality, and closely collaborating with the community.
“There will be no let-up in our fight against all forms of criminality as we continue to gain momentum in the conduct of intelligence-driven operations aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and meaningful Yuletide Season in Metro Manila,” Aberin remarked.
