Senator Alan Peter Cayetano joined thousands of residents from Taguig City at the reopening of Christmas by the Lake, which transformed Laguna Lake into the largest and brightest holiday lights park in the Philippines.
In his speech, Senator Cayetano urged the people of Taguig to embody the core values of “Probinsyudad”—love, progress, and integrity—not just during Christmas but throughout the entire year.
“The principles we uphold in Taguig are important. All forms of gambling have been banned, and we strive for a drug-free environment. I hope these values are practiced every day,” he stated.
“My heart is filled with joy and gratitude because the beautiful, brighter, and more colorful lights and decorations we see this year reflect the many blessings our city has received,” Mayor Laarni Cayetano added.
One of the highlights of this event, now in its third year, is the nostalgic “Christmas on Display.” This showcase highlights the rich traditions of “Paskong Probinsyudad” through animated displays, taking visitors on a journey through the years.
Adding to the spectacle is the Northern Lights experience, a first-of-its-kind attraction in the country. Inspired by the beauty of the Aurora Borealis, this light show fills the night sky with vibrant hues of green, purple, and blue, offering visitors a unique and captivating visual treat.
Towering over the park is the Giant Christmas Tree, a revolving centerpiece that illuminates the entire attraction and symbolizes hope, unity, and joy. This tree is sure to be a highlight in every visitor’s holiday photos.
Admission to the park is free; guests are encouraged to book online or via phone, although walk-ins are also welcome.
“I hope that all who visit our park will experience the magic of the Christmas season and create joyful and unforgettable memories with their friends, families, and loved ones,” Mayor Cayetano said.
Taguig City prioritizes safety and comfort throughout this event. Medical assistance desks are strategically placed; CCTV cameras are operational; security personnel are on patrol; and ample parking spaces are available to ensure visitors can enjoy their time with peace of mind.
Priority lanes are available for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women. Pets are allowed under certain conditions.
