The troops of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division participated in a Customer Service Orientation at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
The training was designed to enhance soldiers’ skills in effectively engaging with the public, with a focus on community relations.
“The aim was to foster greater understanding and cooperation between the military and local communities, reinforcing the Army’s role as a key partner in community development and security,” the unit stated.
Dr. Laura A. Abaigar, a recognized expert in customer service and public relations, led the session.
Drawing on her extensive experience, Dr. Abaigar provided valuable insights into improving interpersonal communication, handling public inquiries, and strengthening the military’s image as a reliable and trusted institution in the eyes of the civilian population.
The event was attended by officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources from the 4th Infantry Division, highlighting the inclusive nature of the training.
Lt. Col. Aristotle Antonio, Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel (G1) in a statement underscored that this initiative is part of the Division’s broader efforts to maintain high operational readiness while enhancing the quality of interactions with local communities.
He also emphasized the importance of training in strengthening soldiers’ ability to communicate effectively with the public, fostering trust and cooperation between military and civilian sectors.
