A total of 125 individuals are now part of the death toll from Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine,” the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday.
Latest data from the disaster agency indicates that 115 people were injured, and 28 are still missing due to adverse weather conditions.
According to NDRRMC, the combined effects of “Kristine” and “Leon” have impacted 7.1 million individuals, which is equivalent to 1.78 million families across 17 regions in the country.
The Bicol Region has been hit the hardest, with 632,000 families affected, amounting to approximately 2.7 million individuals.
Currently, 225 areas across 13 regions remain submerged in deep floods.
There are also 263 roads and 41 bridges that are still impassable due to the severe weather.
Damage to agriculture has now risen to 2.8 billion pesos, while infrastructure damage has reached 1.5 billion pesos.
The NDRRMC stated that 161 areas across seven regions have declared a state of calamity.
