Angeles pledges cash donation to ‘Kristine’ victims

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo  Lazatin, Jr. announced that a portion of the proceeds of the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan 2024 will be donated to the Bicol region, which was severely affected by tropical storm “Kristine.”

Lazatin said he already had a conversation with JCI Culiat Foundation chairperson Jean McTavish about the initiative.

Lazatin joined the TTKD opening parade, walking along the streets of Balibago stretch with First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, City Councilors, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, members of the Gender and Development Office headed by Mina Cabiles, Angeles City Tourism Head Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Angeles City Economic Development Investment and Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego, and the JCI Culiat officers and personnel.

Aside from the proceeds, the city government launched a relief operation for the Bicol region, “Tulong Angeleño para sa mga Bikolanos”.

To kickstart these relief efforts, Lazatin said that he will be donating P100,000 worth of diapers and canned goods while Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel are also contributing P50,000 worth of goods.
