The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Jomalig, Quezon, Wednesday morning.
In its Earthquake Information Number 1 advisory, Phivolcs said the tremor was recorded at 7:16am with the epicenter traced to 14.92 degrees north, 122.59 degrees east – 037 km north 49 degrees east of Jomalig.

Phivolcs also said that an Instrumentality Intensity III advisory was placed in Quezon City.
“No damage was monitored and no aftershocks were expected,” Phivolcs said.
Update: In a new advisory, Philvolcs has downgraded the magnitude of the earthquake to 5.3.
