The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has alerted the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) about the Philippine passports of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, her siblings Sheila and Wesley, and her business associate Cassandra Ong, according to Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
The DFA told Hontiveros the passports of the aforementioned have been reported to the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime Interpol for “appropriate action,” including whether they will be included in the organization’s blue or red list.
Hontiveros said this was a welcome development because the individuals involved are of interest to Interpol.
She said one of the persons mentioned is also the subject of a Senate-issued arrest warrant in relation to transnational crimes linked to Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGOs).
The senator said Guo and her cohorts are now under increased scrutiny, especially since an international agency has been alerted of their alleged crimes.
