Quezon Rep. David “Jay-Jay” Suarez has congratulated President Marcos Jr. for successfully advancing the country’s interests and bringing home pledges for investments and job opportunities for Filipinos during his recent trip to Bangkok, Thailand.

“President Marcos has again proven himself as the best marketing strategist of the country after his fruitful trip to Thailand. He was able to promote our country as an investment hub for food, agriculture and energy opportunities, among others,” Suarez said in a statement.

The President attended the 29th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) in Bangkok, Thailand from November 16 to 19.  He also held bilateral meetings with various world leaders, attended the APEC CEO Summit, and met with business executives of companies such as Thai-based Siam Cement Group (SCG).

On the sidelines of APEC, Mr. Marcos had bilateral meetings with leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, Australia, New Zealand and China, who invited him to visit their respective countries.

While in Thailand, the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos also called on the Royal Family in Thailand and thanked them for the warm reception.
