Police seized P136 million worth of shabu during a raid in a suspected drug laboratory Thursday night in Ayala-Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.

SHABU HAUL. Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seize two ziplock bags containing suspected shabu weighing around 2 kilos with an estimated value of P136 million at a house rented by a Canadian national inside an executive village in Alabang, Muntinlupa City on Friday midnight. The anti-narcotics operation conducted by a composite team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Southern Police District (SPD), Muntinlupa Police Station, and Bureau of Customs also resulted in the arrest of three individuals, two of them foreign nationals.

The suspects were a Canadian national identified as alias “Pretty Boy”; Syter Orilin, a French national, and their Filipino cohort Mark Anthony Sayarot.

The raid, which was conducted at No. 304 Mabolo Street in Ayala-Alabang Village, was made based on the search warrant issued by Muntinlupa City regional trial court Executive Judge Myra Quiambao against the Canadian national, the main subject of the police operation.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said 20 kilos of shabu in plastic trays and several bottled chemicals and other paraphernalia, believed to be used in manufacturing the prohibited substance, were recovered from what they called a “clandestine laboratory.”

He said the raiding team led by PDEA operative Jeffrey Baguidudo served the search warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165.

The suspects were brought to the PDEA office for custody and documentation while the seized drugs and other evidence will be subjected to chemical analysis.

“This group used a modified set-up for manufacturing shabu. The shabu is mixed in liquid form, then washed with acetone. It’s practically an odorless process, which is probably why they were confident in doing it here in a residential area,” PDEA  officer in charge Gregorio Pimentel said.

The PDEA-led force served two separate search warrants at  304 Mabolo Street and at 523 Madrigal Avenue.

Concealed inside the house on Mabolo Street was an assortment of laboratory equipment, quantities of chemicals used for manufacturing illegal drugs and 20 kilos of shabu worth P136 million.

Authorities arrested two individuals found in the target area — Aurelien Cythere, a 41-year-old Frenchman and unemployed divorcee, and Mark Anthony Sarayot, a 42-year-old Filipino businessman residing at 23 Cabbage Street, Valle Verde 5 in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City.

Several identification cards, three mobile phones and an assortment of financial documents were seized from the suspects.

The second target on Madrigal Avenue yielded two kilos of suspected shabu worth P13,600,000 and various laboratory equipment, identification cards and five mobile phones.

The operating team nabbed Ariana Golesorkhi, a 33-year-old male Canadian who was born in Iran and claimed to run a beauty parlor.

“These suspects are linked to Mexican, Australian and Canadian drug trafficking groups. We are currently investigating these links and several other drug personalities,” Pimentel said.
