SECRETARY of Energy and Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) President Alfonso Cusi and the Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist understand the full sentiment of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s neutrality saying he only wants the “free will of the people” to prevail in the election.

Duterte though respected the decision of his political party — PDP Laban — for endorsing the candidacy of Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr. as President and daughter Sara Duterte as Vice-President for the Monday’s national election.

President Rodrigo Duterte with Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist #111 first nominee Jayke Joson.

“The President is not endorsing any presidential candidate because he wants to be neutral until the new President is proclaimed and installed,” Cusi said during the PDP-Laban political campaign in Cainta, Rizal where President Duterte showed up to the people.

“He has an obligation to his people and to his country for an orderly smooth transition.”

Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist #111 first nominee Jayke Joson admires Duterte’s political stance, saying the President wants to be objective and doesn’t want to be biased until he steps down in June from Malacañang office.

“We are very thankful to the President for letting the free will of the people to prevail in next week’s election,” Joson said, adding that the entire frontliners around the country would definitely support Duterte’s decision.

“The people including the million frontliners really love President Duterte because he never forget them during desperate times. He is always with us that’s why we — the people — admire him very much and we want to duplicate his leadership and great political will,” Joson added.

Cusi added the President is very open-minded when he learned the PDP-Laban’s endorsement of Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte.

“He is very open-minded after learning our decision to support BBM [BongBong Marcos], but what important for our president is the free will of the people to prevail in this election,” Cusi said.

The Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist #111 — one of the three party-lists endorsed by the PDP-Laban of Sec. Cusi— will fight for the welfare of police, soldiers, doctors, nurses, medical staff, barangay workers, media, firemen, security guards and food delivery boys, among others.

The other party-lists supported by the PDP-Laban — the most dominant majority political party in the country — are AKO OFW #10 and SANDUGO #77.

The Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist will be vying for one of the 63 seats in the House of Representatives to pursue filing a bill on double hazard pay, tax-free allowance, free insurance policies for all the frontliners and the abolishment of the no work, no pay policy for the sick frontliners.
