PDP-Laban Secretary-General Melvin Matibag, recently appointed as acting Cabinet Secretary, revealed this Thursday night after attending the UniTeam grand rally at the Biñan Football Field in Laguna.

Not only that, Matibag said PDP-Laban was “hoping” that President Rodrigo Duterte would grace the upcoming joint rallies.

“We met. I was with Secretary Cusi, the president of the party, that there will be a rally in the event we get invited to join by BBM and Inday Sara,” Matibag said.

“We’re planning a big rally in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and in Parañaque to be sponsored by the PDP-Laban, the UniTeam is invited,” he said.
Regarding the UniTeam-PDP-Laban partnership, Matibag said the two parties were on good terms.

“We had a productive meeting… UniTeam and PDP-Laban, we had plotted our moves. Although President Duterte hasn’t endorsed any candidate for the presidency in the upcoming May 9 polls, he and the PDP-Laban for that matter have openly endorsed Mayor Duterte’s bid for the vice presidency,” he said.

PDP-Laban, as a party, has already endorsed Marcos’s presidential candidacy.
