Volunteer groups intensified their campaigning for Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer Isko Moreno Domagoso as they remain focused on the primary objective of helping Moreno become the next President of the Republic.

Team Isko’s youth volunteers are leading the grassroots-type of campaign with the “Bus  ni Isko” caravan braving the storm and rough waters during their trip to Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte last week, affirming the “no retreat, no surrender” attitude of their presidential candidate.

Ces Bayan of the group Ama ni Isko, Team Leader of the Visayas-Mindanao leg of “Bus ni Isko” described their trip to Dapitan City via RoRo as “challenging” because of the bad weather.

Bayan said the youth volunteers of the 47-year-old presidential bet remain dedicated and committed to continuing and finishing the electoral campaign “come hell or high water.”

Moreno meanwhile challenged Vice President Leni Robredo to deny the statement of her spokesperson that no unification talks transpired between the vice president and other presidential bets, including the Manila city mayor.

“I challenge the Honorable Vice President Leni Robredo. Deny that you are not pushing us to backdown. That you are not dismissing (former national security adviser) Norberto Gonzales. You are not pushing Senator Ping (Lacson) back. My question is, why are you the only one who has the right to run? Are you the only one who has the right to be a presidential candidate? Are you the only one who is good? E kasi puro BBS eh—bilib na bilib sa sarili,” Moreno said, in an ambush interview in Tagbilaran City after his courtesy call to Gov. Arthur Yap in Bohol Provincial Capitol.

Moreno’s challenge was in reaction to the statement of VP spokesperson Barry Gutierrez that there are no active efforts from their camp to talk with other presidential candidates and ask them to withdraw and join the camp of the vice president. Team Isko embedded reporters were the ones who asked the mayor for his reaction.

“Barry, be careful. There is CCTV and Office of the Vice President. Barry be careful, the house in McKinley has CCTV. Barry, be careful, the house in Dasmarinas Village has CCTV and a picture. You are really fake, that’s why people don’t like you. Barry, don’t even speak. Let your boss talk,” Moreno said. With Rey E. Requejo
