Duterte, addressing thousands of supporters in a series of campaign sorties in Laguna last week, said the achievements of Davao City during her one term as vice mayor and three terms as mayor are doable for the entire country.

“Nagagawa po yan ng mga taga-Davao, kaya po yan ng Pilipinas. Dahan-dahan po, tuloy-tuloy na kaunlaran para sa ating bansa,” she said, referring to Davao City’s citations as the fourth most competitive city in the country, eighth richest, and debt-free from more than P1 billion liabilities in 2016.

Unity and peaceful life for Filipinos, she added, are the core advocacies of her vice presidential bid.

Jayson Cartagena, 38, construction worker and tricycle driver, said he hopes non-Dabawenyos will get to experience Mayor Sara’s kind of governance.

The campaign rallies at the Laguna provincial capitol grounds and Sta. Rosa Sports Complex were attended by UniTeam members.
Pasay City officials, including congressmen, mayors, and barangay leaders declared their support for Duterte.

They made the declaration during a huge rally at the Cuneta Astrodome that was attended by more than 10,000 local and barangay officials, and city residents.

For his part, Rep. Antonio Calixto said Team Calixto, from mayor down to barangay leaders, will support Duterte.

Pasay City has 276,579 registered voters for 2022 elections.
