President Rodrigo Duterte (PRRD) appointed current NBI-Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Director Eric Distor to Director V as Senior Deputy Director (SDD).
The President also promoted to Director V (Deputy Director) Atty. Antonio M. Pagatpat, incumbent Assistant Director for Regional Operations Service (ADROS). Both Distor and Pagatpat previously held the positions of Director IV and are career agents who graduated from the NBI Academy and rose from the ranks to their present positions.
Along with the appointments of Distor and Pagatpat, 12 other career agents got their appointment from the President.
Five were promoted to Director III (Regional Director) namely: Atty. Emeterio Dongallo, Jr., Atty. Arcelito Cernal Albao,Atty. Claro C. De Castro, Jr., Atty. Victor John Paul H. Roquillo, and Atty. Janet M. Francisco. Seven Career Agents were likewise promoted to Director II (Assistant Regional Director), namely: Investigation Agent IV Noel C. Bocaling, Investigation Agent VI Glenn A. Ricarte, Investigation Agent III Joel R. Ayop, Investigation Agent VI Victor V. Lorenzo, Investigation Agent V Hazel P. Roxas, Investigation Agent III Gerald L. Intes, and Investigation Agent V Isaac R. Carpeso, Jr.
The newly-appointed NBI officials committed to exerting their full effort and dedication to perform their duties and responsibilities as public officials.
Distor emphasized, that “the government and the people deserve our service and we will continue to perform what is expected of us. This is our way of expressing our appreciation to the President.”
Distor added, “the NBI needs to cater to the expanding functions of the Bureau as we respond to the increasing cases of criminality confronting our society such as cybercrimes, human trafficking, illegal drugs, white collar crimes, and other cases of fraud and crimes against environmental laws”.
Distor stressed that NBI now responds quickly, solves crimes immediately, and clears the headlines.
“Quick law enforcement and police actions including the arrests and neutralization of criminal elements will result in Political stability, Investor confidence, Bigger Economic Gains, Many job opportunities in the country and will finally result in attaining lasting Peace and Order, and Prosperity that will lift up and save more Filipino lives from hunger and poverty,” Distor added.
