Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso’s presidential bid got a major boost Saturday after officers and members of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC), a big volunteer group that helped Duterte win the presidency in 2016, formally endorsed the candidacy of the Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer.

This after former Agrarian Reform Secretary John Castriciones, president of MRRD, and other officers of the group signed a manifesto of support and handed it over to Domagoso.

Castriciones said the MRRD-NECC endorsed Domagoso because he is the most qualified among the presidential candidates.

“We support you because we see in you the loyalty to serve the people. We also have many candidates who really want to serve, but of course, what we want is the candidate who has real love for the poor,” the former Duterte Cabinet member told Domagoso.

“Secondly, we also saw how you changed Manila. So we believe, because Manila is the premier city of our country, what you can do in Manila, you can also do in the whole Philippines. And of course, we also see, you said, the continuity of the projects and programs of the Duterte administration,” Castriciones said.

Meanwhile, Domagoso also gained the support of comebacking Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez and the rest of her team.

“Admired and inspired by many public servants in our country, the leader that the Philippines and the entire Filipino people need,
number 3 on the ballot, the next president of the Philippines, Yorme Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso,” Fernandez said.
