Edward Delos Santos was officially sworn in by House of Representatives Speaker Lord Allan Velasco in simple rites on January 31, as the second representative of Ang Probinsyano Party List, one of the top-party-list groups in the 2019 mid-term elections with 2 seats in Congress.
As certified by the Law Department of Comelec last December 21, 2021, Edward Delos Santos is Nominee No.3 or the next-in-rank to the Party List’s second nominee, who changed his political affiliation and was dropped from the roll of members.
This latest turn of events for Ang Probinsyano Party List is a welcome development, as they could consolidate their projects to reach out to the immediate needs of more probinsyanos.
When asked for his thoughts regarding his official designation, Rep. Edward Delos Santos appreciates the recognition.
“Nais ko pong magpasalamat sa ating House Speaker, Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, at sa mga kasamahan natin sa Kongreso para sa pagkilala sa akin bilang miyembro ng House of Representatives,” he said.
He is also grateful for the opportunity to serve the public.
“Gusto ko rin pong magpasalamat sa lahat ng mga nakasama at nagtiwala sa Ang Probinsyano Party-list at sa mga tumulong po sa atin na magkaroon tayo ngayon ng pagkakataon na makapagsilbi sa ating kababayan bilang representative ng Ang Probinsyano Party List.”
“Bilang kinatawan, makakaasa po kayo na lalo pa nating patitibayin ang mga programa, proyekto at adbokasiya ng ating Partido. Mananatiling iisa ang layunin ng Ang Probinsyano Party List na makatulong makapagbigay serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan saan man sa bansa,” Delos Santos said.
