UniTeam vows ‘all-inclusive’ governance

The UniTeam of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, will persevere and remain steadfast in promoting a unifying and healing leadership throughout its term if elected in this year’s elections.

The team made the commitment even as it assured that political leanings and alliances will not play a factor in bringing in progress and equal opportunities for everyone, especially for the Bicolanos.

Marcos made the commitment after he was asked during a recent interview if Bicolanos will be included in the ticket’s programs of governance.

“That’s the whole point of the UniTeam, that’s why it’s unity, even if we don’t agree on everything, especially in politics, as long as we help the Filipinos. You do it your way what you think, I’ll do it my way as long as we work together,” Marcos said.

He then categorically stated that Bicolanos and the region which is deemed a bailiwick of his rival, Vice President Leni Robredo, will always figure prominently in the government’s overall development programs.

“That’s not our way of politics. Elections and politics have their place, but when we come to the public service, maybe we don’t look at where you came from or if you helped in the last elections,” Marcos said.

“As long as I think it’s a Filipino who needs help, then help is as simple as that,” he added. “When the election campaign comes, we will throw stones at hurtful words but after that is over, let’s go back to serving the people who elected us, not to fight and be political.”
