CBCP: Bench must also express its regret via billboards

A Catholic church official said that the apology of Bench regarding their Naked Truth fashion event that gained negative comments from netizens may not be enough.

Fr. Conegundo Garganta, Executive Secretary of Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Youth said that the clothing company must promote not just their products but also values.
Before the said event, Bench has been told by CBCP that the billboards they placed in EDSA are not appropriate to be seen by the public.

In Catholic radio station Radyo Veritas website, Garganta is quoted saying that the company must also express its regret through billboards.
Bench had apologized for its fashion show last weekend that some people found offensive because they portrayed women in a bad light.
Garganta added that the company should have been sensitive to Filipino culture.
