Malacañang: People Power celebration will be simple and quiet

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella reports, the 31st anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25 (Saturday) will be simple and quiet.

In a briefing in Malacañang, Abella said, it is time to move on from just celebrating the event.

“It is no longer a celebration of the past. It is now a reflection of what can happen in the future,” he noted.

He also said, the commemoration will be given a more positive outlook and understanding.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea is in charge of the preparations.

The Palace may opt to hold the commemoration inside the Armed Forces Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

President Rodrigo Duterte intends to attend the ceremony.
