PNP sacks over 100 cops who failed the drug tests

The Philippine National Police has dismissed from service over 100 policemen, most of whom failed the mandatory drug tests.

This was announced in a press conference by PNP Internal Affairs Service (IAS) head Alfegar Triambulo.

Triambulo said, those who have been sacked are 99 policemen who failed to pass the confirmatory drug tests.

It also includes about 44 cops who whose services are deemed terminated next month due to involvement in illegal drugs.

Triambulo reports, the dismissal of more than 100 cops is contained in a recommendation prepared by the PNP-IAS and signed by PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa.
