Jakatia Pawa buried in Kuwait

Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Rene Villa reports executed overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Jakatia Pawa has been buried in Kuwait.

Villa says, after her execution at 10:16 am Kuwait time (3:19 Philippine time) on Wednesday, her remains were brought to a prayer hall and then, to a cemetery.

“Maayos naman po ang paglilibing,” Villa said.

Villa added Philippine Embassy officials witnessed the funeral.

Household helper Pawa was sentenced to die by hanging for allegedly stabbing to death the daughter of her employer in 2007.

Pawa’s family said, it was the daughter’s mother who had killed the daughter.

The mother was allegedly mad at her daughter’s affair with a boyfriend.
