Secretary to the Cabinet Leoncio Evasco has expressed support for Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald dela Rosa, amid calls for the police chief to resign.
Evasco tells Dela Rosa to count the numbers of friends who support him and not the criticisms that he gets in the performance of his job.
The PNP head is being hit for the death of kidnap victim Hanjin executive Jee Ick Joo inside Camp Crame in October 2016.
President Duterte earlier reiterated his full trust and confidence in Dela Rosa and ordered him to go after the policemen involved in the strangling of Jee inside the PNP Headquarters.
