Esperon, Andanar to represent PH at Trump’s inauguration

National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. and Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar will represent the Philippine government at the inauguration of United States President-elect Donald Trump.

Andanar says, Duterte will not fly to the US for the event.

He explains, it is not a practice for heads of state to join the event since it is considered a domestic affair.

Trump’s inaugaration will take place on Friday, January 20 in Washington DC.

During a telephone conversation in last December last year, Trump had invited Duterte to see him in the White House once he assumes office.
