22 injured in Quezon bus accident

At least 22 persons were hurt when a passenger bus swerved and plummeted off a bridge in Unisan, Quezon on Saturday morning.

Police say, the incident happened along Bondoc Peninsula Highway.

Involved was a DLTB bus from Bicol heading to Metro Manila.

Initial investigation reveals bus driver Consta Magat apparently fell asleep.

He was driving along a straight highway when he occupied the opposite lane and the vehicle fell of a bridge.

Most of the victims sustained minor injuries and were brought to a hospital in Unisan.

One, however, sustained a head injury and remains in confinement.
