Albay declared under state of calamity

Albay Provincial Disaster and Risk Management Council (PDRRMC) has placed Albay under state of calamity.

This comes as a result of typhoon “Nina.”

Albay’s PDRRMC reports, the third district of Ligon sustained the heaviest damage, mostly in agriculture and infrastructure.

Local authorities are conducting an assessment on the destruction brought by the typhoon.

Electricity is currently down in the province and residents are experiencing problems in their communication lines.
