Motorists asked to avoid MMFF parade route on Friday afternoon

The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit is asking motorists and commuters to avoid the streets in Manila where the annual Parade of Stars of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will pass through.

The event will begin at 1 pm on Friday.

The parade will take a different route this year – instead of starting at Roxas Boulevard, it will begin in front of the Manila City Hall.

Floats of films participating in the festival are now pre-positioned at Nicanor Lopez Street.

From there, the parade will move and turn right on Taft Avenue and proceed to Jones Bridge.

It will head to Quentin Paredes Street, turn right on Reina Regente Street, then go to Claro M. Recto Avenue, turn left on Rizal Avenue, turn right again on Fugoso Street and Roxas Boulevard until it reach its destination at Plaza Miranda.

Clearing operations have been conducted along the path of the parade.

Showing of films included in the MMFF will begin on Christmas day, December 25.
